The first time I saw this mare, she was three hanging out in a field. I looked at her and we both agreed she should live with me. At that time I had no idea that a year later she would be on my farm. I have fallen in love with this mare for many reasons. She is a sweet, smart horse. Very demanding for attention. If not enough is given she will nudge you for more. We started her under saddle last fall. She picked up this spring remembering what was taught. My daughter rides her and she is kind and responsive. Breed by Betty Calhoun of Serendipity Andalusians. Sired by the beautiful black stallion Guarapo. Her dam is Nevada M out of Regalado, a Leviton Son. Melada stands 15.3 and has the three gorgeous gaits. A walk that any warmblood would die for. Her trot is more elevated like her sires. Her canter is lovely and open. This lovely mare is co-owned by Betty Calhoun of Serendipity Andalusians and Donna Burdick of True North Farm. She is being breed to Apollo for a 2009 foal.
